Introducing Digital Books

Anywhere, Anytime…Great Selections, Free Software, Automatic Returns and No Late Fees!

What Are Digital Books?

E-Books are the digital versions of print books, which allow you to read the full text of books on your personal device. Digital Audio books are voice recordings of books. Both kinds can be downloaded to your computer and used offline. Some can be transferred to portable devices or burned to CD. Best of all, when you check-out a digital/audio book, they are automatically removed from your device at the end of your check out period, so there are never any late fees.

Expanded Services

Blount County Library has expanded its services with audiobooks and E-Books in conjunction with Overdrive and R.E.A.D.S.  We have thousands of titles available in multiple formats which are compatible with many devices.

Various Devices

Both digital audio books and eBooks can be used on a variety of computing devices and operating systems for PCs, Macs, laptops, and supported PDAs. You can visit the R.E.A.D.S. Compatible Devices page for more information. The digital book site offers digital audio books in the OverDrive Media Console™ format, and eBooks in the Adobe Reader® format.
