Re: Blount County Health Department Internal Audit Report
BLOUNT COUNTY, TN
Blount County Mayor Ed Mitchell received the attached letter and certificate from State of Tennessee, Department of Health Commissioner Lisa Piercey today congratulating the Blount County Health Department that they have had no findings in their Internal Audit Report completed by the Compliance and Ethics Office.
“After hearing Blount County’s Financial Report given at the Audit Committee meeting last night, receiving this great news today is wonderful. Like Blount County Government’s Audit Report, the Blount County Health Department has achieved no findings relative to the internal audit review done on their operations”, said Mayor Mitchell.
Robert and his staff do an outstanding job serving all of Blount County. We are very fortunate to have a Health Department with the level of service that our Blount County Government Departments provide. So many of our underserved people in this community are able to utilize the health providers and get excellent service from our Health Department.”
Director of the Health Department for the last seven years, Robert Schmidt stated, “The Internal Audit is only conducted every few years and goes into great depth reviewing all aspects of our operation. This is a great accomplishment to have zero findings. I am very proud of my staff and the work that they do!”
