Blount County in partnership with Parks & Rec will host our annual community Hometown Christmas and Festival of Trees Celebration on November 30, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. to be held on the front steps of the Blount County Courthouse. Please join us for a night to kick-off and celebrate the Christmas Season. A short program will start at 6:30 pm that will include the Pride of Tennessee Award given by Mayor Ed Mitchell to a Blount County resident that represents the volunteer spirit all year long. We will have entertainment provided by the Blount County Elementary Schools Bell Choir directed by Craig Hurst and the Highlander Chorale Maryville College Ensemble directed by Jill Purvis. After the program, the Courthouse lobby will be open for refreshments and inside entertainment provided by the Silver Wilds Flute Choir.
