Blount County Comprehensive Plan Presentation
The Blount County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive a presentation from Inspire Placemaking Collective on the proposed updated Comprehensive Plan on Monday, December 2, 2024, beginning at 5:30pm in the Blount County Courthouse Room 430. The public is encouraged to attend.
The Comprehensive Plan for Blount County is a policy document meant to guide growth, development, and conservation efforts over the next two decades. The Plan describes population projections, land use, housing, education trends, and environmental stewardship.
The process to update the Plan began with public engagement in which themes began to emerge. The draft Plan document can be viewed here: https://www.blounttn.gov/296/Development-Services and includes recommendations resulting from extensive public engagement both in person and online.
