Writer-in-Residence

I am thrilled to join Blount County Public Library as Writer-in-Residence!  

I am an East Tennessee native and twenty-year resident of Blount County.  

I have been an educator in Knox County for the past ten years, and I was a trainer and coach in the private sector for many years prior to earning my Master of Education degree.  My passion has always been education and witnessing the spark that occurs when something new clicks into cognitive place.  

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my children, researching the American Revolution, and working on my first writing for publication.  I love classic literature, historical fiction, spontaneous adventures, theater, music, cooking for family and friends, and all things avian. 

As a lifelong learner and a person on the cusp of an exciting new chapter in life, I look forward to working in collaboration with Blount County Public Library, Blount County Friends of the Library, and our community to promote, support, and inspire our diverse population.
