Business Resources

Business Resources is a Blount Partnership webpage that provides a readiness checklist for starting a new business along with related topical information on legal issues impacting small businesses. This helpful resource also provides links to county, state and federal guidelines for business owners.

Interlibrary Loans

The Library has a limited ability to borrow for its patrons materials that are not available in our local collection. The only cost to the patron for this service is return postage for the item borrowed. Interlibrary loan requests can be made through Adult Services in the Reference Area and at the Circulation Check-Out Desk in Patron Services.  For further information, go here.

Public Access Computers

The Library has 20 public access computers in the Information Services Department and six in the Children’s Department. The computers are equipped with a variety of software including Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. The Children’s computers have various games available. In order to use these computers, patrons are required to show their Library card or Internet card to register for computer use. All Library cards should be “in good standing” when requesting time on a library computer. Non-Blount County residents may use the computer if they are over 18 and show a proper ID or by purchasing an annual non-resident library card.

Reserve Books

Patrons can reserve any circulating item listed in Atriuum, the library's online public access catalog, by filling out a reserve request at the Circulation Desk at Patron Services or by placing the item on reserve online. Patrons will be notified by text or email when the book is available. Click here for online instructions. Rest assured, we make every effort to keep our reserves up-to-date. Occasionally, a reserved item might already be on the shelf and picked up by another patron. However, your reservation remains our top priority, and we ensure it's honored promptly. Thank you for your patience and cooperation in these situations.
