We Now Accept GLASS!

The blue dumpster for glass is located in the parking area by the Recycle Office. Any size, type or color, no separation necessary. Please remove lids and trash first.
Welcome to Blount County Recycling

The Blount County Recycle Center is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:00am - 4:30pm. We are Located at 331 Levi Street, one street down from the Blount County Operations Center off of McArthur Rd.

There seems to be some confusion on the products we accept even with all the literature and signage at the site and on the webpage.

We DO NOT accept Electronics, Mirrors, Styrofoam or household trash. These items must be taken elsewhere or to the landfill. If you have any questions please ask the attendant who will be happy to assist you.

Thanks to the support of our community since we opened December 2017 we have been able to collect enough recyclable material to extend the life of the landfill by more than 7 years!!
