Support the Library
There are several ways that you can help support your library, whether that is engaging with our support organizations or providing donations. Learn about the possibilities below.
Blount County Friends of the Library
Blount County Friends of the Library (BCFOL) members work together to sponsor special events, raise money, and volunteer for a variety of outreach and service programs that help the Blount County Public Library and our community. Each year, their support helps fund more than 100+ library programs, publications like our quarterly newsletter, and more.
You can support our Friends by becoming a member, volunteering with them, and checking out their book sales, the proceeds of which go towards supporting the BCPL. They also accept donations of used books for their book sales.

The Foundation for the Blount County Public Library
The Foundation helps assure the library maintains a state-of-the-art facility that provides enrichment opportunities for all ages by providing financial support for capital projects. Supporters of the Foundation have continued to meet critical needs of the library, including assisting with the construction costs of our current library, LED lighting upgrades, purchasing new furniture and equipment, RFID implementation, renovation of the outdoor Book Return, and more.

Memorial/Special Occassion Donations
Donations can be made to honor the memory or celebrate a special occasion for a loved one. We will honor requests for books or other items purchased with the donation, as well as acknowledge receipt of your gift, send notification to the family, and place a gift plate on the item.
